Displacement Doorway

Welcome to the Displacement virtual environment!
This Unity-based experience invites you to explore and interact in real-time within an immersive online version of the Batch environment, connecting the physical and digital worlds.

Instructions for Navigation:
Use the following keys and controls to navigate the virtual space:

• W – Move forward
• A – Move left
• S – Move backward
• D – Move right
• Mouse – Look around

Important:
Please click inside the game window to lock the mouse cursor to the game. Press the Esc key to unlock the cursor and regain control of your mouse.

Explore the Environment:
Your goal is to explore this unique environment and find the red doorway. When you enter, you’ll have the chance to connect with other virtual explorers. You may also notice real visitors appearing from the red doorway, emerging into the virtual space in real-time! (If you don’t see anyone, it means no one is there right now.)

Interactive Doorway Experience:
Walking through the doorway will trigger the real, physical doorway in Austin to light up in real-time, providing a tangible connection between virtual and physical spaces. Dive in, explore, and enjoy this one-of-a-kind experience where the virtual and real worlds meet!

Note: this interaction will be live on these dates:
November 16th, 17th & 21st of 2024.

Important Technical Requirements:

This game can be accessed via a laptop/browser and requires the latest version of Chrome or Edge to run properly.

Note: We use Unity's new WebGPU renderer, which is currently only supported in the latest versions of Chrome and Edge as of November 15, 2024. Ensure your browser is up to date to experience the environment seamlessly.
